NONPROFIT ELIGIBILITY
Nominated nonprofits must have been a 501c3 for at least two years.
The nonprofit must agree NOT to use the donors’ names for future solicitations or give that information out to the public.
The nonprofit must agree that 100% of the money donated will remain in our community.
No political organizations, sports boosters or school groups (public or private) will be eligible for nomination.
Religious organizations will be eligible only if 100% of our Impact Donation will be used in a nondenominational, humanitarian project (ie: food pantry, diaper bank).
The goal of our group is to be caring, supportive and respectful to all. The founders will reject any nominations which may divide rather than unite our community.
Nonprofits who receive the Impact Donation will be eligible to be nominated again in 3 years. The two nonprofits not selected will be eligible to be renominated at a future meeting, but if a nonprofit has presented twice and not been selected they must wait one year before being renominated.
NOMINATING A NONPROFIT
To nominate a nonprofit for consideration, you must be at the meeting, be a member in good standing (up to date on all donations) and have attended at least one meeting.
Prior to being nominated, the director or board chair of an organization must complete and submit our Nonprofit Eligibility Form to ensure that they meet the requirements and agree to the terms. This form need to be completed only once.
To ensure that your chosen nonprofit is eligible, check the list of prequalified nonprofits below.
If your selected nonprofit is on the list, fill out and submit a Nomination Form. More than one member may nominate the same nonprofit at the same meeting. Remember, if you nominate a nonprofit and it is selected for consideration then you will be asked to speak for 5 minutes about this nonprofit (check our Presenting Tips).
If your nonprofit is not yet on the list, have a representative of the organization fill out the Nonprofit Eligibility form and get it to us at least a week before the meeting.
Once a nonprofit is determined eligible, any member in good standing is free to nominate it for consideration.
